Are there any plans for a bitcode enabled version of the iOS SDK

#1

Hi there,

I would like to know if there any plans for a bitcode enabled version of the iOS SDK. And if there will be any more development at all on the SDK, the last code commit is two years old. Also, a Swift version would be nice : )

Thanks!

No plans to, but it is open sourced!

That is great!

Has any developer open sourced a working Swift implementation for the thermostat yet?

So far I’ve been able to find one unofficial implementation by Petro Akzhygitov here:

I got it up and running, but unfortunately it suffers from the same problem found in the example code provided by you for iOS, namely: when updating the thermostat temperature, the API returns a “no hvac fan” error. (There was a pull request created for this in the git repo of your example code, but it never got accepted: https://github.com/nestlabs/ios-NestDK/pulls)

We’re currently working on an Android app but want to port it to iOS at some point.
We’re wondering, why is there no active development on the iOS side of Nest?
Is this a dead end for you guys because of i.e. Google Home?
