Is there a way to detect if a thermostat temperature change is delayed so I can avoid making further adjustments until the temperature change takes effect?
When you say “a thermostat temperature change is delayed,” do you mean “time to temp” with a delay? Or are you talking about latency?
There shouldn’t be any significant latency. Maybe a few seconds, but that’s it, unless the device is offline, in which case it takes about 2 min for the backend to determine it’s offline.
I’m referring to the safety mechanism where the thermostat shows “delayed” where it normally shows a status like “cooling” to prevent damage to the unit.
Got it. The API doesn’t currently have a “delay” read ability. I’ll add it as a feature request.
