Nest Protect - fire regs compliant for UK loft conversions?


Question about Nest Protect and fire regulations. UK loft conversions require a separate heat alarm fot the kitchen. So despite being hard-wired and WiFi interlinked, because there is no standalone heat sensor that’s compatible with Nest Protect, they won’t get buildings regs sign off in any UK property with a loft conversion. Surely this is a major oversight by Nest? Anyone know if they’re doing anything about this? Are Nest developing a standalone heat sensor that can be linked to Nest Protect?
