Thermostat - Get ECO Temperature

#1

Hello,

How can we recover the temperature when the thermostat is in Away mode?

The target_temperature_high and low seem to be the normal temperature and not the away temperature

#2

target_temperature_high is for a devices currently in Heat-Cool mode.

For Away temps, in a device with a software version below 5.6 it will be:
away_temperature_high_f
away_temperature_low_f

https://developers.nest.com/documentation/api-reference/overview#awaytemperaturehighf

Thermostats with 5.6 or higher have ECO temperatures and use:
eco_temperature_high_f
eco_temperature_low_f
eco_temperature_high_c
eco_temperature_low_c

This change is recent and you can find more information about it in the release notes:

Thanks Nester,

How can we know if the thermostat is actually in ECO mode?

yup you’re looking for the hvac_mode which will show a value of eco
